I’m a formally trained architectural designer and I’ve been working in this profession for a good few years now. Recently I’ve been more and more inspired by art and graphic design, and have naturally transitioned towards it as a career choice. It’s hugely different to making bespoke homes for clients, but it’s just as much fun
How would you describe your artwork?
During the pandemic my mornings changed, I would get up, get inspired, set myself a creative task, and make it. This really changed my day-to-day life and set my graphic design career on track
Are there any subjects or themes you are interested in? or represented in your work?
Having an architectural background comes through in artwork in a big way, even if it’s not immediately noticeable. Rigid lines and forms in combination with colour textures to create a meaningful composition – that’s all design is when you boil it down
What is your process?
Grab a snack, sit down, and get inspired. That’s the main thing, honestly – inspiration

What do you find most daunting, challenging, or frustrating about what you do?
Clients. Making art for the sake of art is a pure endeavour, but not always the most profitable one. Wouldn’t it be great if we didn’t have to worry about making money from our work
What is your process?
I can start from either an idea that sprouted in my mind overnight, or finding cool source material to draw inspiration from. This could be stuff I see on my daily walk, images I find on the internet or a funny story someone told me! Lately I’ve been really into reinterpreting classic renaissance art into my own style
