Find wall art by size

XL prints give you one big piece in place of several small ones, and are best over sofas, beds and sideboards. Small prints suit shelves, desks, bathrooms and gallery walls. Most prints come in A-sizes from A4 up, plus standard formats up to 70x100cm, with A0 on selected works. Every option is listed in our size guide.

How to choose the right size

A print that is too small is the most common wall art mistake. Above a sofa, bed or sideboard, aim for art about two-thirds the width of the furniture: for a 200cm sofa, that is roughly 130cm of art, from one XL print or two large prints side by side. Hang the centre of the artwork about 145 to 150cm from the floor, leaving 15 to 25cm between the furniture and the bottom of the frame. If you are unsure, tape paper cut to size on the wall for a day. And remember a frame makes the finished piece a little larger than the print size.

Framed or unframed?

Every DROOL print is available framed in black, white or natural wood, or unframed if you already own frames or want something bespoke from a local framer. Build a gallery wall

A gallery wall is the easiest way to fill a big wall with smaller pieces and keep adding over time. Pick one thing that ties the prints together, such as a colour, a frame finish or a theme, then vary the sizes and keep the gaps even at around 5 to 8cm.
