About the artist
Although his creative career started in architecture, UK based artist and designer Alex Khabbazi now explores form and materiality in two dimensions. His process combines physical and digital techniques to create bold, decisive artworks featuring analogue textures and undulating shapes. Aside from designing standalone prints, Alex lends his distinctive style to select musicians, record labels and fashion brands for collaborative releases
Quality matters
1. Wooden frames
Available in natural, black and white, all our frames are created from sustainably sourced wood. With each being hand-made and hand-finished, the corners are carefully glued, sealed and sanded
2. Premium glaze
Our premium acrylic glazes are lightweight and UV-protecting. This slashes delivery costs while protecting your print from fading or discolouring from exposure to sunlight. Cheaper glazes don’t offer these protective properties
3. Museum-grade print
All our prints are giclée, which is a process whereby we reproduce art through a printer to exactly resemble the original piece. To create these fine art prints we combine specialist high-resolution printers with archival paper and inks. This form of printing stands apart due to its extremely high level of quality and longevity
4. Sealed for protection
The reverse of each frame is sealed using archival, acid-free materials to prevent dust and moisture from entering the frame and damaging the print. Plus our frames are delivered ready to hang, with the necessary back fixtures
*Beware of cheap frames
Many companies sell frames that contain acids within the materials or use glazes that are not UV-resistant. Cheap frames can permanently damage and exposure your print to harmful rays that will discolour your artwork
You can rest easy knowing a DROOL frame is built to protect our prints, using FSC-certified woods and 100% acid-free materials. This is why our prints have an 80+ lifespan, staying in mint condition for years... with no colour fade. So if you want your print to last, we always recommend buying prints with our superior frames
